Malsi Deer Park
This newly developed park lies on the foothills of the Shivalik mountain range. With its tranquil atmosphere and its collection of deer, neelgai, ducks and rare birds, this sanctuary serves as an ideal tourist spot. People traveling to Mussoorie generally halt here for a short break, before resuming their journey to the Himalayas. The mini-zoo, coupled with a children park, makes it very popular among children.
Tapkeshwar Mahadev Temple
It is named Tapkeshwar as water droplets, originating from a rock, fall on the Shivling placed in the shrine. People in large numbers participate in the fair organized on the occasion of Shivratri and pay their obeisance to the deity.
The place is located in the picturesque Doon valley and according to popular belief Guru Dronacharya, the teacher of warfare to the Kauravas and Pandavas, underwent his penance here.
The road is motor able up to the Temple. A large number of people throng this temple specially on Sunday. There is a temple believed to be constructed in the eighth century with a number of carved figures on stone, which are of archaeological significance. An ideal place for picnic.
Durbar Shri Guru Ram Rai
This Sikh pilgrimage site is also related to the history of Dehradun. Guru Ram Singh pitched his tents in this place after being ordered out of the country by Aurangzeb, the mughul emperor.
